Tiesto is number 1!

If you got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all about him. Its pointless to jump on a trash-talking bandwagon just too sound cool in a forum. He works really hard for the music and the scene.

Can't wait to see him here for NY!! :D

No, I wasn't attacking her or anyone else. You know how I feel about Tiesto, I've seen him 6 times live this year and they were the best experiences ever. And I've been seeing Tiesto live since 2000 and being a huge fan since 1998, but his sets from 2003 were by far the best (for my taste). What set was so awful? The three best recorded livesets from his in 2003 were 4-20 GDJB, TiC and 7-27 Amnesia. Those match the three best sets from Tiesto in 2002 and 2001 easily. I won't go into that whole blabber again, but I have my reasons and you have yours. :)

ok you have your reasons and we have our's..but that didn't give you the right to call us haters shEEsh:rolleyes:

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm Tiesto was AWESOME in 2000/2001...if it weren't for is Trance Energy 2000 set and Innercity 2000 set I wouldn't have gotten into trance at all. HOWEVER, the past two years his sets have gone downhill, Nyana mixing wise isn't well done and doesn't flow like say "In Search of Sunrise 2" or even "Magik 6" or those first two sets I mentioned. Plus his track selection is good but again, no real flow, he drops techno tracks and some breaks tracks in the middle of a set, instead of building up to it. I saw him in June and it was REALLY good tracklisting wise, I had a blast but they still didn't flow properly the way I've heard other dj's like Ferry, or Armin or even PvD, or JOOF. If you like Tiesto, good on ya, I've just lost whatever made me like his music lately.

i'm not a tiesto hater, and i'm not trying to jump on the "tiesto hating bandwagon" either. i just think that either he's lost the skill of producing that he once had, or he's getting lazy. i never thought he was a good dj, but i did love him as a producer. you have to admit, the quality of his productions has gone down. :\

FOr reasons unknown, i used to dislike Tiesto. I really don't know why i did, i just did.

Now, i don't dislike him, i'm just neutral on him. I haven't listened to many of his livesets or cd mixes (which makes the top line even weirder) but what i have listened to was never really my taste. Maybe i just got the wrong sets :)

Can't hate many DJ's now, they all play different styles :)

i don't agree with that at all though. i think tracks such as Nyana, Barber rework, Radiohead and Skin remixes, and even Traffic ( a track he did for 'fun' ;) )etc. are some the most interesting, unique and forward thinking Dutch trance productions that have come out this year.

Tiesto may have lost it a little in terms of producing, but nyana, skin, traffic, adagio for strings are far better than PVD's recent garbage productions, now thats the meaning of losing it production wise...the only thing decent from PVD lately is connected so don't go trashing tiesto's recent works when th ere are other producers who's recent productions have sucked even more

tiesto is my god

the only post worth reading in this thread is the first one

the rest is mostly a bunch of ignorant ass rangers that think they are cool by putting down the #1 dj

IMO, 2003 has been a better year for Tiesto than it was in 2002. If he retains the number 1 spot again, good on him. :)

Things DO change, and its only natural to move on. Tiesto grew old of he's old sound, so he moved on - people find that the new sound are not their cup of tea, so they move on too. Let it be. :tongue3

On another note, me likes Nyana, Faithfulness, and Street Spirit! :p
