Ugh, sorry, I have to disagree with 1 thing, please dont go out and buy cheap ... because than you get cheap results, than when you upgrade to the real stuff, your gonna have to learn everything all over again. As I have said, I suggest you save save save and save some more, and get quality stuff. Although Im not as young as you and it might be easier for me to gather money - its all part of the long journey. It took me 5 months to put together 2 Technics SL-1210 mk2's and a Behringer DJX400.

Learn to use eBay and buy used stuff... both of my Technics are used and work great. Together they were $550.

Trust me, saving money would be the smartest thing to do.

YES! W00TAGE! I explained to her that I wanted to just do it as a hobby, and that i know a whole bunch of people(well, i sorta know you guys, so that counts) who are just bedroom DJs and enjoy doing it for fun. AND SHES GONNA LET ME GET THE EQUIPMENT! Only problem is that i still have to be in boy scouts :'(. Oh well, at least im getting the stuff. Could someone please tell me ifthis DJ pack is worth the $400 it costs? If so, im getting it. Its got pretty much everything i need to become a bedroom DJ, minus the vinyls of course.

Your money do what u please with it, also grow some balls man!!

Take it easy mate, he's just a kid...

Kamikaze, yea that setup should be ok for now to get you started... Im sure in a few years when you save up or what not you will upgrade. Talk to DJ Tranz, he might be able to hook you up with a discount. Enjoy!
Kamikaze Badger
Ok, ill go PM him. Well, thanks for your advice all, and im looking forward to getting that kit. And i wont have to spend too much if i can get my grandparents(the rich ass ones) to support me. Well, i need to stop typing and send that pm. Thanks again!
Breeze
Oh.. Sorry Kamikaze Badger , didnt know u were a kid , just thought u were one of those 20yr old, mummies boys.
Kamikaze Badger
ROFLZ! Theres no way i would ever be a mommies boy at that age! People who are like that are just... wierd... and disturbed.
IKKI-ZUVK
Are you calling me wierd and disturbed ? LMAO j/k
Kamikaze Badger
Lol, only if you are a mommas boy! Well, im gonna add about $15 to my DJ budget soon, as ive been working on pitching out calf pens. And then my birthday is just one month away(october 17th), and my grandparents give me $50 each year for my bday :D.

Aaaanyway...

I PMd DJ Tranz, and im waiting on a reply. Im so excited about actually getting this stuff. And i allready have some mixes by DJ Doboy, so i can just sit in my room pretending that i know what im doing.

Not the best example of mixing, considering all his mixes (non-live ones that is) he admits to doing on the computer instead of turntables to do (or did, somewhere, unless i really am losing it).

Kamikaze Badger
Really? So you mean that my favorite mix(Trancequility Special Summer Edition) was made on a computer? THE WORLD IS TOO CONFUSING!
