Ipod frozen, is there a way to manually reset it?

| my ipod froze today. its an old 5gb one, i look on apples webpage, but it only tells how to reset it from the computer, anyone know how to manually reset it? |

hold down stop and play for about 5-10 seconds at the same time

thnx it worked, damn in apple, i couldnt find it anywhere on their in site. called applecare, that is supposed to be 24/7 and it was closed, hehehe, thnx =) |

haha i ran into the same prob. with my ipod a while ago. scavanged all over the apple site to find an answer. got nothing.
apple's too cool to put an on/off button on their mp3 player :p
eventually a friend told me how to reset it. |
