Anyone know a good synth for making Hard house/Hardcore basslines, I have the FM7, Albino, Iblit and Junglist. Ive been told Junglist has some good bassline presets and settings but all I get is bland Dance basses, unless theres a way of doing it.
I dont mind using sampled basses either if anyone knows any good sample CD's, although when sampling bass from a loop it might not be in middle C etc.
Can someone help me, thanks |

| I use rebirth for the hard trance basslines. But you may still end up with the same problem. Its all a matter of getting the knobs pointing in the right direction. |

Thanks anyway.
Is there a way you normaly tweek a synth to get the bassline?
I heard mixing a bass with a hardcore kick with the attack taken away a bit works but hasnt for me yet. |

Junglist will get you the sub bass, you need some kind of other synth with a highpass filter over it to get the grind sound that goes along with it.
Based on my experience, you'll never find a terribly good bass preset on any softsynths. S'all about tweaking and layering. |

The Iblit is appropriate. You can also try the Novation V-Station and the Arturia Moog Modular.
You can create nice basses with distortion/overdrive. |

It's just like MusicMaker said: it's all in distortion/overdrive. Just make a simple sine/saw bass, pull up the attack a bit and put the notes on the offbeat.
Then run a bit of distortion over it to get that hard sound. Everything will be pumping and ready in no time!
I can post an example and tutorial on how to make it if you want.
