tiesto is such an oakey wannabe! if he has remixed rendezvous, then he remixed three of the tunes that oakey is most famous for caning back in 99/2000. street spirit, barbers adagio and now rendezvous. tiesto must one of the most unoriginal djs ever.

Tiesto was playing Street Spirit also back in the day...forgot which mix but he was....and whats wrong with wanting to follow Oakenfold on "some" level...the man was a pioneer....

I really really doubt that this is a remix of Tilt Vs Paul Van Dyk - Rendezvous. Just because the main leads move in a similar way doesn't mean it has to be a remix. They just sound similar, but every tonal melody out there has been done before. There's no such thing as an original melody in the 21st century. This two tracks are blatantly different in every sense. The original sounds really German from back in the day, this new mix sounds obviously Dutch 2003.

I came up with the note/chord structure of the central parts of the lead to prove that even the melodies are very different in terms of key, harmony, rhythm and structure.

This is the original Rendezvous quadrophonic mix:

C-B-G. C-B-G-C-B-G-E-E-F. C-B-G. C-B-G-C-B-G-E-E-D.

This is the track Tiesto played:

E-D#-G#. E-D#-G#-A . A-A-A-B-B-C#-C#-C#-E-E-D#-G#.
(which would translate to the Tilt key as:
C-B-E. C-B-E-C-B-E-F. F-F-F-G-G-G-A-A-C-C-B-E.)

See, the voices are not even parallel, just similar.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is just how I see it. Oh, and I loooove this track so much. I need to know what it is!
