Wrong, Digweeds greatest CDs are Trance:
Northern Exposure 3 - Expeditions
Communicate
GU 014 has allot of trance and also GU 019.
His most famous creation: Bedrock - Heaven Scent is also Trance.
and so are most of his Bedrock productions. |

| I'm a huge fan of Digweed! He has his own online community y'know at www.mercuryserver.com. They post his live sets from Kiss 100 every week and the special guest DJ, and there's a forum there as well. |

Communicate is not trance. In any way. Sorry. Others are disputeable but not Communicate. |

Progressive trance that is. Not pure uplifting trance, which is associated with the word itself. |

Oh gosh...get with it
Digweed played trance...i have sets where he played it...he just moved more into the progressive with his sets. He plays pretty much everything...not a fan of his kiss100 sets but his live gigs are amazing. He still plays trance...age of love - age of love(always in his record box btw)...he played one of the times i saw him....that's trance. He is one of the deejays that gets pigeonholed by us and the media as a prog deejay like sander kleinenberg, sasha and nick warren. Then again, they all still play trance records....they played trance and got big...I put them in the category of "deejays who play anything to keep the crowd moving" and it's true. It's just harder to tell that they play trance records because the line has blurred these days but they still do. They can knock trance all they want in the media but they still play trance and probably will continue to do so for years to come...it's just not as obvious as it used to be. |

Exactly, some of the tunes featured in GUs and stuff may sound like House when they are in fact Trance in the source its like Toronto said, they sound similar in the past few years, anyway Digweed playes Trance and I Totally agree with Toronto's post.
:)
Take a look sat Warren for example, theres a guy who basiclly based his carrer on trance, GU 03, 08, 011, 018 and even 024 have allot of Trance tracks, Warren is a Trance DJ - Period. |

| Well gu003 was during the trance phase...so was gu008 and gu011 (which was more prog trance than gu008 and gu003)....then gu018 was totally progressive (a real stinker of an album imo) then gu024 was juddering trance, breaks, chillout and progressive and it showed how much Nick Warren has changed but gu024 showed for the first time...in cd form at least....what kind of deejay warren and others have become. The guy plays at least 5-6 styles in one cd...just like his dj sets...that's exactly how sander k, sasha and digweed play....many styles....anything to keep the crowd moving. I think we have pigeonholed deejays far too much...because deejays just play records....regardless of style. |

Warren has greatly evolved, you can see that he really put some thought into GU 024, 018 may be Progressive Trance, but its still great Progressive Trance, like Revolt - Dive Into The Deep.
Warrens GUs were pretty conservative when it came to style, he never mixed really different styles, it was eather Trance, or Progressive Trance or Breakbeat for example GU008.
But then came 024 and just the first CD shows what an intelligent DJ he is. |
