Filtered white noise should do the trick as well.

dj-sean, im using Reason 2 , what is white noise??? (im a new to this and dont get the "producing language")and how do i make this "sssssss" sound.

thanks
dj-sean
I don't use reason but I'm pretty sure it has a noise generator of some sort. If not, do it in a program like cooledit.

This is what whitenoise sounds like:

Filter out frequencies until you get a hissing sound to your taste. I hope that's what you're after.

I'd be willing to bet my left testicle that reason has both a highpass and lowpass filter. Chain them up after the white noise and tweak to your hearts content.
