The Return of Goa/Psy?

I dunno, I think I can see a bit of a Goa/Psy revolution on the horizon. First the Ingo Remix of Brainbug's Nightmare which is a real corker of a tune, but it def is more than just a hard house tune. This is the biggest Psy trance tune to come out for ages. Everything about it is Psy (apart from the hoovers!). It's superb.

Now these new mixes of Astral Projections biggest tune of all time Mahadeva. Ok - not exact Goa or Psy, but still!

Wouldn't you just love a Psy/Goa Revolution coz I sure as would!!

I think there should be a return, but something HUGE needs to happen. I was in awe at some of the psy sets from Exposure Festival (in particular Logic Bomb and Astral Projection) :D

Where did Goa/Psy go to? It's been here all the time :)

Anyway, there's a huge problem with goa/psy: the hippy elitism.

All trance parties here play exclusively Goa/Psy. 3 days listening to the same thing (and usually just the minimalistic stuff), with mushrooms, aliens and hinduism. Even though I like full-on goa, I can't listen to just one genre for all this long. So, all I wish psy became the most commercialised genre ever, so it would lose its "superior status of pure music" and we would finally have some diversity.

Keep in mind this is what's happening in Latin America: if the situation is different in Europe and/or North America, ignore this post.

I've never heard any Goa live, so I can't say anything about it, but to me, I have a hard time discerning the differences between many songs. Like, a lot of the stuff that Man With No Name produces sounds the same to me, a lot of Astral Projection's stuff sounds similar to me... but I'm pretty dumb when it comes to things like that so...

It's probably not a return, just people moving onto it looking for new stuff themselves, tho techno should get that :D

Into the midnight giving it to you
I don't know, it just feels right

I know what, how about the next time Tiesto, Ferry, and Armind spin together, they spin goa? That'll spark the revolution

if there was a goa revolution into mainstream, i hope that gms, infected and particularly skazi are on the horizon and take it into the right direction.. if tiesto ferry and armin spin goa.. cheezy would be pumped out of the industry in 2 minutes, guaranteed.. eventually there would be some vocal goa trance.. that would be great! *puke*

Oi, you misquoted me :p Moncster is the one who said that Tiesto, Ferry, and Armin could spin goa one day and spark the revolution :toothless
