Herritage Hockey Classic Lottery Tickets...

Did any one of you by chance get so lucky to get drawn if you put in obvioulsy...in the lottery for the left over tickets. 750,000 entries for 1750 selecties (up to 4 tix each)???
I sure didn't, nor did my folks, or handful of friends that put in. All from south of the border that would fly up to see the game. Now I know not many of us from down here put in, but there are oiler, habs, and bigtime hockey fans all over but not ONE person from the US, or outside Canada was drawn... I just found that ... odd. Not impossible (i'm guessing 1% entrees were US, about 10% outside Edmonton Metro)...but wierd considering there was no rule against out of country people to enter. There were a handful of QC'ers, and 3 or 4 from Vancouver, Victory, even 3 or so from the NWT, SASK, Ont...etc...most from Edmonton Metro and the Hwy 2 Corridor...which is concurrent where the bulk of the entries would come. :)
So congrats to the lottery drawees and the season tix holders that got 53,000 of the seats :( (minus their own seat). I still want to go to the game...dammit!
Anyone selling extra tix??? hehe :) :D :)

| Didn't get my name picked, but I'm counting on a friend of a friend of a friend type deal to get hooked up. I'm not holding my breath though. At least it'll be on TV. |

| Good god...they are showing up on ebay now...starting bids at well over 100 bucks a ticket...double or more over sticker price. *sigh* :( :( :( |

I was one of the 748250 ppl that didn't get drawn. There might be a small chance if I pull many strings of season tix holders, but who knows. I'm way more interested in the Oldtimers game than the regular season anyway. |
