| O.k., lets say how Push, Yves Dertur & Cosmic Gate all have albums out with all new/great songs.. Why doesnt a dj ever play any tracks from those albums in sets? Even if it's on cd, they would still be able to mix in the tracks because every track on those albums is from start to finish and not mixed in. You can even find some of these artist albums on vinyl. So I alwayz wondered why I never heard songs from those cd's in any of the sets. Can some-1 give me a reason? |

Well, presumably because they're hard to find on vinyl. I'll have to trust you with the fact that many producers do release (full) albums on vinyl but apart from Timo Maas - Music For The Maases, I really can't remember seeing any albums (by a single artist) released fully on vinyl. Sure there are LP's, like that by Satoshi Tomiie, that include maybe 4 tracks fom their album, but I'd hazard a guess that finding a full album by any artist on vinyl would be a tough thing to do.
Just my two cents. |

| Even if hard to find, they are dj's. Popular dj's such as tiesto Oakenfold PVD and ect. can alwayz get them if they wanted. Even if they are hard to find ;). |

Maybe it goes back to what we were saying in the copyright thread. Maybe DJ's can only lawfully spin tracks which have been released as singles or LP's or something.
It stands to reason, if you're trying to promote your new release and all the DJ's are playing a different track from your album you'd be a bit pissed. |
