I found this when doing a "TRSDOS history" search:
| quote: | | The TRS-80 Model 1 was Radio Shack's first personal computer. It was developed in the late 1970's when the only home computers available to the general public were those like the Altair kits and the first Apple computers. TRSDOS (the operating system for the TRS-80) was, to be blunt, horrible. One of its tricks, for example, was to lose files on the disk drive. Most computer users who had to put up with TRSDOS affectionately called it “Trash DOS” (well, maybe it wasn’t so affectionate). Two fellows in Colorado fixed most of the problems with TRSDOS, then their company (“Apparat”) released NEWDOS as a replacement. |
Do you tend to lose things? lol
