Hiya,
was wondering if anyone has had success recording vocals in there home studio.
A friend and I are putting together a small collection of tracks to try and get signed with, two which include vocals, it seems that vocals are a problem to record to a near professional level.
if anyone has had good results i would love to hear your techniques.
im running logic 5, so i have the inbuilt filters. im using a XM8500 mic which i think could be a problem. |

When recording vocals, make sure you use a pop-shield. This can be easily made at home. Just use some stockings and a clothing hanger and put this shield before the mic. Should make a really big difference when you record your vocals.
You can easily record professional sounding vocals in your home studio, I've heard many people do it.
good luck |
