Try Umek - Zoombie. Really catchy track with a bassline that will make you move.

Good thread since this is probably my favourite sub-genre when it comes to Techno (can't really stand the ever banging Rush or Liebing sound). However, in Techno, I only go about DJ's not about producers / tracks themselves (can't deal with every genre equally meticulously  ).

Garnier was a good call. Also check out the Darren Emerson GU's which build up from house to tech-house and even (funky) techno. Then Carl Cox who sometimes has lots funkiness added to his sets. Same goes for Jeff Mills set (not really funky techno per se, but sometimes its included).
Really funky-techno DJ's I've heared were Heiko Laux, Danilo Vigorito, Dave Angel(!) and Marco Carola.

Try anything from Mumps, or else try some collaborations between Umek and Valentino Kanzyani. Funky techno @ its best.
