Stupid CD Covers!!!

Obviously when a CD is released on the net by the release groups, the reason they often pack the CD covers&info (cue, front, back, inlay etc..) is so we can burn the mp3 to cd then print out the covers so we can make our fantastic illegal cd look as authentic as possible... but why the hell is are the cd covers that come with the cd so damn big?!?!!... when i print one out it's takes up the width of a A4 sheet, way too big for a cd case...

so can someone tell me how to use the cd covers so i can print them and make my cd look nice and pretty? Do i have to decrease the size of it or something... if so, how?

thanks

Will you can either Use Photoshop v6.0 and rescale the image size down to a CD case size (convert units to mm's first for measurements sake) then save the file...

Or use a Jewel Case editor and paste the pick in that. I think one piece of software is CD Box Labeller and also Easy CD Creator has jewel case editors.2

Or you can get a little proggy called CDCover Pro (or something like that) and print them out with this. It makes perfect Front, Back and Inlays (size). Just load the picture and it'll make em the right size and print ;)

CDCover Pro eh?... i'll have a look for it on Download.com

The pictures are that big, to make them look sharp when you downsize them. It's a bit stupid to just start printing
:D
Try pulling such a pic bigger: you can see all the pixels when you do.
That's the reason for the size. Most cd-burning programs have an option to make covers by the way. I know Easy CD-Creator does.

use the program IrfanView
www.irfanview.com

The best picture viewer/editor/you name it on the Web, FREE, just one EXE file and only 300K (!), more options & tools than you can shake your... um... GLOWstick at, VERY stable and reliable. I use it all the time.

It has a feature called "Resample/Resize," it makes it very easy to change and resize images without losing quality.

Hope that helps...
