Ok... we just had ADAM SHERIDAN here this past weekend in Dallas, Tx.
DAMN! The man is amazing... for being only 20... OMG... simply amazing.
Here is the review I put on our message boards... but DO NOT miss any chance to see this man LIVE... you WILL NOT be disappointed... and from what I heard he is opening for Ferry Corsten this next weekend, per Ferry's request!
------More than I expected!
First off, thanks to everyone who made it out to the show! Everyone here at EpiK really appreciates your support and vibe!
Now... I would like to say that I was WOW'ed all night long... the music was hands-down amazing... we rocked the house.
DJ CUBANO was first. DAMN! I ran around telling everyone, "He has really pulled this off, I am SO PROUD of him"! Cubano really stepped up to the plate on this one. YES!
SNOWHITE came next. The girl rocked the house... shoes off and all! Her track selection was perfect and everyone was dancing!
D-JABE stepped up after her... and HELL YEA! As always... he made the house jump! Can't get enough of D-Jabe! Then... he eneded his set on the "The Time of our Lives"...
ADAM SHERIDAN... THE MAN... then came on. He opened up with his ORGINAL track, Lettrick, that is being released on Purple Eye next month. Damn, that track on a LOUD system is awesome (note: He gave me a copy for my guys, and they will spin in next Saturday @ Fallout!)!
And... even though he said he would drop down the BPM when he opened up to 140... he BANGED IT OUT... banging tech-trance for like the first hour! If you heard him on Edge Club... then you KNOW about it! I don't know if most of the kids in Dallas were READY!
Hell, I wasn't ready! His demo was a poor example of this man's skills and sound. Honestly. He was 100 times better in person... because as he told us... he like to keep the sound "full" and high energy by playing other tracks in the drop down of other tracks. Yea... so... I was in AWE of him on the decks. I was truly shocked and surprised by his sound and performance. THANK YOU BEN from GOOD GREEF for suggesting him to me!
If you watched him... you know that the man is a prodigy. Hands down. He was using the CDJ1000, and the two turntables... and most of the time... he was using ALL THREE TOGETHER. AND... when he was using only the two turntables... he would typically have two records going at once... always blending two to make one sound.
He had a GREAT TIME up there! Thanks for showing him your love everyone!
*Note: Next weekend Adam is spinning an event when probably 5,000 people will be, and is opening for Ferry Corsten, per his request!* Had to throw that in cause it's hella cool!
RX then closed out the night. OMG. Rx is a bad ass... and most of you don't even KNOW IT. His track selection is fresh, and he puts it together to where he can work a crowd to feel something. His demo alone brought me to tears.... and then made me want to bounce around! Now... in case you left early from the LL.. you can see Rx @ The Party Room next Sat... from 5:30-7:00.
Now, some personal thanks:
Heather and Andy... thank you so much for being so positive and supportive! We love you!
Railight... Thanks for being the photographer for the night! I haven't had a chance to view the pictures... but I bet they are great!
Jayson Gold... thanks for being there to suppor the team... a DJ who still ripes up a dancefloor... you are hella cool!
Juice... thanks for being there at the very start... and showing DJ Cubano the love.
Ok, about the "people left early" thang. Let's face it... it's a FRIDAY... and people are tired. Not to mention that when alcohol stops... most people leave... and I am sure quite a few people left early to go to the Party Room (aka: Fallout).
Adam even said, "I bent down to get a record, and I came back up and it's like everyone had left!"... Laughing of course... then we explained the 2:00 a.m. thing... and he laughed.
*Note* Daniel will go on @ midnight... not 1:00 a.m. so you tired kiddos can make it till the end of the headliner.
Personally... I want to focus on the POSITIVE aspects of the evening...
~ EpiK-Entertainmnet TORE IT THE HELL UP!
~ The people who were there... were having fun!
~ Adam really showed Dallas... what's up! He is truly an amazing person who is a prodigy on the decks. And his production work... well, you don't know the 1/2 of it. He played a lot of his new production work for us... and OMG... AND... he even left some (that cann't be copied!)... for my guys to play. OH YEA!
~ A new sound, and orginal talent came here... loved it... and it going to let others know!
Overall... it was a great night! Thanks to everyone who came out to experience something new in Dallas, TX!

What does, "he lost it big time", mean exactly?
I have to say that every DJ has a bad night... I have seen top DJ's suck at one time or another. No one is on their game 100% of the time, unfortunately.
But from talking with Adam extensively, he is very concerned with giving the audience what they paid for.. and making sure he gives his all. I know he would be upset to think/know that someone had a bad time when he was on the decks.
Well, keep an eye on this man... he is going places... and his production work is going to send him to the top of the pack.
Lektrick comes out on Purple Eye Entertainment in October. I would suggest that you check it out. |

How in the hell do I move over there? To England?
I swear to god... just hanging around him... and soaking up some of his passion for the music... really showed me how the other half of the world lives... seeing PVD on a regular basis... going to Ibiza every year...
I can't stand Dallas... the kids here just don't GET IT. No passion. No excitement. No education.
Seriously, I don't belong here. I belong over there.
Now, how do I move there, and make enough to money to live? That is the million dollar question. |

| well, i'm a pimp and im always looking for new things....you can apply via pm :happy2: |

Pimp? Hee-hee... yea... funny boy.
No, sorry... my goal is to come over to be a booking agent for DJ's.
Right now, I am securing myself as the North American booking agent for various up-and-coming British DJ's. This will be finalized by January 2004.
Then... my hope is that I can move over there someday! And book DJ's from their home soil. |
