Adrenochrome is oxidized adrenaline; and it does not need to come from a human pituitary gland. It could simply come from adrenaline left out too long.
It induces temporary chemical schizophrenia, as well probably some other stimulating effects, but is said to be toxic to humans. It is not known how much of Thompson's reports on it are fictitious or not.
In terms of immediate danger - PCP, Datura, 2c-t-7, ketamine, GHB, 5-MeO-AMT
In terms of long term danger of addiction - Heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine, crack
In terms of power - Salvia, DMT (ayahuasca, smoked), LSD, PCP, DPT
I'm not a user though; this is based on the experiences of many people I've known.
Any drug can be dangerous or powerful if you take enough, though. |

These arn't hard! except PCP, these are even legal in some areas. Heroin will destroy your entire life. mescaline and especially absinthe are the softest of soft drugs |
