Apparently in todays paper they said that this will happen and that they want to make messenger the only chat thing they have on a subscription service cos of the growing problem of peadofiles

comments anyone ?

msn chats sucked anyways.

I know, it's on about trying to get more companies to shut their chat services down, sadly some dirty old men or ppl being s will ruin internet chat for those who genuinely want a laugh & talk to mates
montie
ehhhh, they prolly just don't want to support it anymore cuz its not making enuf money for them
and they use that as an excuse so they don't disclose that they are losing money on it, plus it makes the large population of soccer moms in this country happy.
Mr.Mystery
MSN has chatrooms? :conf:

I dont think closing a chatroom is gonna solve anything, the whole thing is overblown anyway and police can do anything, as lack of evidence is an issue

The head of MSN-uk was on tv this morning, she said the main reason behind msn closing their chat was due to spammers (aka bots giving out porn links) and perverts. she said msn messenger would continue as you selected who you spoke to.

i really hope this never reaches IRC.

there are loads of pervets and freaks on the internet, but there is also some normal and interesting people who should always have the right to frequent chatrooms..
