when i burn a cd, it takes up 100% cpu all the time.... is this normal??
i have a P3, 1.0 GHz, 448 MB RAM (i know, its a weird number, =P)... that should be plenty of computing power to burn a cd... i don't understand... |

| Mine takes up some cpu but as much as yours. My main problem that i always have is when i put in a cd-r to burn. Nero says. This medium is not readble or sum crazy like that, and ejects the cd. after i put it back in like 5x it starts working again. |

| well if its a 48x burner that spits it out in 3 minutes or so I wouldnt worry about it. if its a slow burner, that sucks |

| I got a wicked 52x, althought I don't think 52x CD-R's are out yet, but I love burnin a full CD in 3 mins, just got a sweet Sony DVD-+RW a little bit ago. It's pretty wicked too, 8 meg buffers are SWEET |

BTW, if you burn audio cds in 52x will the quality or cd be totally ruined?
