| i have a set of str8-80s. i like them, even though they have a straight arm. they are better for scratching than mixing, but they are great tables nonetheless and do the job for mixing. i recommend them, but i gotta say that 700 euros is a bit much. i got both for $550 a few years ago.. unless the mixer is worth alot, tell your brother to go for it. also check ebay for a better deal. |

exactly...if your bro can't afford techs, then go with these...otherwise, stay away..the techs are much better!
(i upgraded from mine only 8 months after getting them!) |

I would spend the little bit more for str8-90s, str8-100s, or st-100s (curved tonearm)
They're soooo much better than the 80s at not that much more of a price. (btw I got two str8-100s, one was a floor model, for $400+shipping TOTAL on ebay) |

well the deal is this. my bro wants to get decks, he's never djed before and thought he was getting a good deal on these. but maybehe should be going for a different make/model and getting it through ebay or something?
he's primarily getting them for mixing trance |

| he should maybe try the Numark TT200s they are cheaper than the stantons and are supposedly a very good deck for the price! |
