OMG! please help me on this one...

I need some major help guys, my burner decided to up!
I try to burn as usual, and then it says "Illegal disc".
Iv'e tried all sorts of cds thinking I may be using some ed up brand or something but nothing will do... the capacity of the data is smaller then the capacity of the CD- so it can't be it.
I tried lowering the burning speed which did no good, I even tried to format my PC which also did no good- it still won't work :(

.. u tried just burning it straight? I mean, dont simulate, could be to do with lack of ram or hdd space, dont know what a simulation does exactly other than verify the data it's about to write |

-how olds the burner?
-you tried one of those cd player lense cleaner disks on it?
-you tried using a different kind of cdr? |

Yeha- iv'e tried burning it straight, same resault...
I got enough HDD space, anyway- it worked just fine ti'll now with my current RAM so it can't be something to do with it.

- The burner is bout 3 or more years old, but it has nothing to do with it as it worked fine ti'll now.
