Non-decaffeinated (natural) tea has substantially more caffeine in it than natural coffee. Some good English Breakfast Tea will wake you up like a boot in the arse. |
Tea (fermented, dried and chopped leaves) has more caffeine in it than coffee (beans, roasted and ground).
Tea (brewed hot beverage) has substantially less caffeine in it than coffee (brewed hot beverage).
In Aus i found a few people refer to dinner as "tea" which I've always found odd, and thought it was an english colonial hangover thing.
Best tea: a nice Ceylon (Sri Lankan) blend... no milk plenty of sugar, strong as .
Japanese green tea (definitely no milk or sugar) if you're feeling health-conscious.
Oolong is good with cheap Chinese food you get downtown.
Best Coffee:
In the morning: a good esspresso straight down the hatch, or a machiatto if you're not quite up to the hardcore .
Rest of the day: lattes/capucinos |

Ok... I know how the British love their tea... I just don't get it though.
Sorry, but hot tea with milk... and sugar... seems really gross!
MILK? In tea?
Can someone explain this whole obsession the British have with drinking hot tea?
It is because it's so freaking cold over there the whole time?
Note: Our friend was visiting from England this past week... and he had hot tea with just milk... quite a few times... to wake up... etc.
As a Texan... I just find it *odd*... so enlighten me please! |
I love Thai tea and it has milk, tea, and sugar in it...you cxan drink it hot or cold but cold taste the best.
It's just like saying how can you put ice cream in a soda (Floats).... |

I have about 3/4 cups of tea a day:) It warms your stomache up and makes u all nice and warm inside if you are cold. Its nice to have a cuppa before u go to bed, and one just after u wake up. The real question is how do u make ur tea? i put it in a tea pot, because by making it in the cup, i find the taste too strong:)
also i have 1 and a half tea spoons of sugar... (hense the word tea spoon:p ) with milk...but not too creamy.
When i came to america people laughed at me when i said tea, and they hot or cold...and i starred at them very strangely lol...HOT!!!
They also asked about my burger...how would you like your burger? mmm between two buns?
:p Medium well done etc... |

I drink about 2 cups of tea a day in order to keep me going throughout the work day. I used to drink coffee but that was hell on my stomach so after several months so I switched. No milk, cream, or sugar for me.
If you ask me the brits have it right. I hate coffee breath ... impossible to get rid of. |

You're using the wrong kind of "cream" :toothless
On a totally unrelated note, anyone from outside TO tried bubble tea? |

| Brrr...today is our first cold day...wearing two jackets and its only like 60 degrees....God do i hate cold weather....Been drinking tea all day....with just a lil' honey or a peppermint in it....Good stuff...I used to drink hot tea every day at school...and cold southern tea when I got home!! Tea should never be constricted to a specific "tea time" !! |
