when was the other time you came over?

after some reviews from reliable sources i was pretttty sure arias gonna be one of the better places ;)
the problem here lies in the fact that you mention the great djs, the dj booth, the vibe but the WOMEN!!! i mean if disko-kandy is any indication...

All three parties have been absolutely phenomenal.
However, I've said this before, and I will say it again: Aria, as a venue is absolutely nothing special. It has a great DJ booth, the sound is great, but everything else is average. As you said - Aria is simple and effective.
I just disagree with the quote "Aria over any other party any day"..
I also disagree about the crowd. IMHO crowd at Aria sucks. Sure there are LOTS of hot chicks, but too many people are rude, too many people are waaaaay to ed up, too many shirtless ginos etc. Hm... maybe that was the case only for the parties I've been too cause they attracted a lot of outsiders.. Dunno how it is on a less crowded night.
EDIT: Anyways, let's not turn this into Aria Vs. "The rest of the world" war again. Aria is great on great nights, other clubs are great on great nights !! |

Fack...budgetary considerations are causing me to re-think Sven, but goddamn, it was so good last time!!!

yea..but ur right, this is not about TO vs Mtl or that sort ... it's just for fun what I said!! so let's not get all defensive, offensive ...or whatever. and i do agree, i hate the sweaty, shirtless, rubbing & massaging gino's in every corner and the middle of the dancefloor -even in euphoric group rubs! ugh!- too, kandi-kids, and litestix mofos that u hit you over the head, and dance in front of your nose, -and crowd my space!, but that's only since recently, - the dodgy gino's, some trashy girls and the mega f*k'd up ppl arrived mostly since Sona closed!! it all depends on the nite though and the DJ! res nites are super cool!!! trust me cos there's the regular 'real' ARIA crowd and it's not so crowded. real nice chill atmosphere! especially in my living room behind the dj booth, where i have clear view of the dj without hurting my neck! ;)
and, of course ARIA's residents ROCK!!!! Preach, Yaz, Mateo, NicB..
anyways... enuf said. do what feels right! AND HAVE FUN!!:tongue3

ppl are ed up in any bar/club you go too. I don't think aria is any execption.
and as for rude, hahaha come check out the ottawa crowd, they are all a bunch of wannaby elitist with attitude problems, reason why i tend to go to montreal alot. :P |

I agree partly with you. When there's a big event, people are very rude at Aria, the 3 times you came it was very very crowded, maybe a bit less with picotto. I hate that the type of crowd as much or even more than you do, because I have to work in those conditions.
I've met alot of friendly people at Aria *waves to disko-kandi*, and in the 70+ times i went there, about 5 to 10 times were bad experiences, I think its a pretty good average. |
