but a few trance album names come from British Literature.
Chicane, Produces album entitled "Far From The Maddening Crowds"
Thomas Gray, in 1751, writes and publishes "Elegy Written in a Country Courtyard" anonymously. From that, Lines 73-76 read :
"Far from the maddening crowd's ignoble strife,
Their sober wishes never learned to stray;
Along the cool sequestered vale of life
they kept the noiseless tenor of their way."
Point two :
Sasha, produces album entitled "AirDrawnDagger".
In Shakespeare's "Macbeth", Act III, Scene 4, Lines 60-68 read :
Lady Macbeth : "O proper stuff!
This is the very painting of your fear.
This is the air-drawn dagger which, you said,
Led you to Duncan. O, these flaws and starts,
Imposters to true fear, would well become
A woman's story at a winter's fire,
Authorized by her grandam. Shame itself!
Why do you make such faces? When all's done,
You look but on a stool."
Anyone else know any references to literature? |

| The average person doesnt put this much thought into the names of albums, although far from the maddening crowds is pretty well known phrase, at least over here it is, especially during the schooling years |

This may very well be, but, "The Sound and The Fury" and "The Powers That Be" are also both novels, and both are lines from Macbeth. :-p |

Tell you the truth, man.. i think its more fun to figure it out for yourself, then ask to see if you're close. |

| Rakoon.. your topic is about what the track names themselves mean, rather than why the artist chose to name their song that. I intend to mix the Elegy and Chicane.. see if i can find a reason for the name. |
