Whats the best home DVD player? (not computer ones)

Hey Everyone,
Was hoping some of you could help me out. I just bought a sony wega tv and am looking for a nice dvd player that matches its silver color. I am looking for one that plays DVD, DVD-R, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, SVCD, AUDIO CD.
Any models, brands, places to get good prices online, would be really helpful! |

i was watching Tech TV and u can pretty much mod an XBOX to play just about every format available in audio and video codecs. Of course, it's pretty expensive for the XBOX as well as the chips u need (which must be soldered) in order to crack the code (and void ur warranty)
There are about to come out some new players that support:
DVD
DVDR
DVDRW
CD
CDR
CDRW
VCD
SVCD
OGG
OGC
DIVX
AVI
XVID <---- :)
MP3
WMA
even ASX files (along with wmv)
however, i can't recall who makes them or their price. But i'm sure its up somewhere in another board with related topics.
Hopefully it's less than $300, but as long as it can play XVID, it's a blessing |
