Very interesting read

http://www.cnn.com/2003/HEALTH/10/0...reut/index.html

my favorite line "lie not in laziness, sexism or sheer pigheadedness but in profound differences between the male and female brain"

hahahaha no longer can you girls blame us in being dicks, we just think differently.... :toothless :toothless

The feminists will have a field day with that one.

I always say this, that men and women are different in more aspects than their genitals, but some people persist in pursuing the whole "equality" concept. Ah well.

Good read.

Heh :p

Yeah I've read a bit of the male version, believe it or not my mom bought it and nagged me to read it. It has some interesting thoughts on autism/AS ("geek" syndrome) and how that relates to the male brain chemistry too.

Some of it's a little far-fetched IMHO, but a good read nonetheless.

which is good. equal rights is great. but some women to me seem quite radical. ppl push things to far. And that book makes perfect sence to me. We are very different, but that doesn't mean ppl have to get angry about it. just learn to live with it.

Well the whole feminist debate centers around taking the fundamental biological differences between men and women and classifying them as artificially manufactured societal "roles."

I can't stand that so many guys have been brought up thinking that they owe an everlasting apology to all the women in their life for being a man... it paves the way for discrimination and double standards. I myself was brought up like that and didn't come to my senses until I started doing a great deal of independent investigation into cognitive science, and also feminism itself.

Equal rights is nice until it gets warped into a totally classless/genderless society or even 'reverse' discrimination.

Undermine away!

Heh, is all I can say.

My one question is, can one relate this to say gays who "stereotypicaly" feel and experience things a lot more deeply, such as art etc? Cuase if so, that would mean there is at least a component of genetics to gayness. Since we are talking the male stereotype, I'm just wondering where the anti-male stereotype would fit into all this.

agree, and this is what most feminists are looking for. I understand if girls are looking for equal wages etc etc, and in that case i agree with them, but there is too many extream feminists looking for rights there is no reason to get and this article is a proof of that = good :D
