I use both MSN and Yahoo and the BOTH of these are making it increasingly difficult for me to communicate with far-off friends and relatives. Any alternatives, please?
Anybody here uses Jabber? Suggestions welcome.......I just need an Instant messenger, preferably one which can work with msn/yahoo... |

Could very well be (and probably is) the network screwing up, the messaging infrastructure is pretty awful outside of North America.
I'd strongly suggest ICQ. Whether you use the ICQ client, Trillian, Miranda, or anything else to connect to it, doesn't make much difference, ICQ has a much better network.
The MSN and Yahoo networks are utter , sorry to say. Nothing but eye candy. |

| i can really recomend gaim (gaim.sf.net) it support a lot of IM protocols (including msn, icq, aol, jabber) and it has a nice user interface and it is stable. i would love to use jabber but noone of my friend use it so i find it pretty useless... :( |
