i dont study computers, or work with them.
i use mine for getting music and talking to ppl.
BUT, considering the amount i use it, im proberly a nerd.
I used to LAN, heaps.
I dunno, I use my computer a lot, but i never watch TV. |

i used to LAN heaps too... but then i discovered trance and all my compy is used for now is listening to trance, downloading trance, and the occasional producing of trance...
i used to be a nerd... then i discovered 5am and am now one of those guys who has a life but is secretly a geek :P |

Well i amd most of my guy friends are nerds, or geeks as we prefer to be called. Im a web designer, my best mate is a web designer, another mate is a IT technicion and another is a 3D animator.
A very geeky bunch of people i would say. |

Im same as you, but I DONT LAN. Man, arent there better things to do, seriously! And I always watch TV, so I'm cooler than you :p :D
(PS worst thing I've seen, walking back form Gas at 5am people in ing Computer LAN places, playing Monster fighting games against each other. I mean WTF!!)*We had to laugh at them* |

I'm presently at work, I have 3 keyboards / mice in my immediate reach. 4 more in this room, one connected to an 8-port KVM. I think there is a serial cable dragging around somewhere attached to a Nokia IP330. In this room there are 8 monitors and a large projector screen showing some IDS stuff on it. This is just the ops room, the server room has 4 seven foot racks full of various rack mounted machines, and networking gear. Just from this room I can control around 30-50 different systems remotely or directly (maybe more).
Yeah I'm a nerd and proud of it. |

and matt_a, i know what you mean, some even sleep in the internet cafe for some reason, wake up and starting mulitplaying again...
one time it was around 2am and was kinda bored so i went it to play some games, and fell asleep like 10 minutes later. So i don't know people play for that long continuously at that late. Probably a load of caffeine gets injected into their ass, i dunno. |
