insomnia... yes....another supposed victim!!.....help?!...

I think I'm on the way to being an insomniac. I'm having trouble getting to sleep no matter what I do. started since the summer ended in september and ever1 went back to school. I don't start school till October 6 (private college). and when school starts for me, i'm gonna be ed, b/c I'm known for sleeping through my alarm clock. I'm tired when Iwake up, and not tired till 2/3/4AM!!!

UGH!!!! I MUST GET EARLIER SLEEP HABITS!!! any1 know how to remedy this?? got any experiences to tell??

I've had the same kind of issues with sleep in the past. Here is my remedy. Take 2 Tylenol PMs and drink 1 beer about 30 minutes before you want to go to bed. That does it for me every single time. I sleep like a rock. Give it a try.

Yeah, Im having trouble sleeping too. Still looking for a safe way to stop it.

2 beers every 30 mins at least.

also* working out or running or in someway not being a lazy fat ass will also tire you out. Try getting a job or getting away from your house for a bit :D

one of my english teachers said that when you can`t sleep you should sleep somewhere else not in your own bed. Sleeping in your bed will relate to not sleeping so then you wouldnt sleep. try to sleep somewhere else and maybe it'll work.

get stoned prior to sleeping

work ur ass off prior to sleeping

go for a long walk or do something to use an large amount of energy prior to sleeping

either one of them is guarenteed to work because i do 2 of 3 of those options and its a bitch...

chamomile usually did it for me, and then once i really wanted to get to bed soon and not wake back up till mornin, so i opened the tea bag, mixed it up in a glass of water, and downed it
i was asleep from 8 to 6

If ur sleeping pattern is completely out of whack, like u go to sleep at 6am and wake at 5pm or whatever, over about a week (orjust a few days) stay awake as long as u can. First go to sleep at 9am, then the next time 1pm, etc untill eventually u go to sleep at about 11pm. Ull probably wake up at about 6 or 7am and u should be tired at about 11pm that day.
Then ur back in synch with normality and just try to keep it like that. As soon as u feel tired enough to go to bed, do it, because if u stay awake after that ull probably end up not sleeping for hours later.
Thats what i do when my sleeping gets too ed up (im an insomniac)
This is much easier than trying to go to sleep when ur not tired, i find that impossible, except sometimes if ive been toking loads that day

try taking a benadryl or some melatonin at bedtime
also ive heard making a routine that you do every night before bed is supposed to help as well

You really shouldn't take medication so going against all my principles beer or another type of alcohol does seem like an ok choice. Listenin to music late at night as well as PC time contributes to not sleepin...... plus goin back to school you'll be able to get some descent sleep during lectures :D

Thanks for all the suggestions guys...i'll try a few and see how i am later. school starts 2morrow for me.....i hafta sleep 2nite!!!
