Still played a good amount of uplifting trance, although the hard, techy stuff did prodominate. I mean, he spinned Mono - Rise, Cern - The Message, PvD ft. Vega 4 - Time of Our Lives, Mr Sam vs. Fred Baker - Forever Waiting, and such. Although some of the harder tracks did dominate the club! |

| IMO this party was ing nuts. From what I recall everyone on the dancefloor was moving. There were a lot of people just watching but they were above the floor. I thought Armin's set was brilliant. He mixed it up very nicely, and didnt keep it boring like some dj's do. And on top of it,most of the tracks were pretty new. |

| He played like 30 quality tunes. Mark Norman - Overkill was one of my favs of the night, right up there w/ mono-rise. I was hoping to hear pvd - connected (marco v remix), no luck though. |

ive been too lazy to write a review for this night but since im bored right now ill say what i thought. it was my first time catching armin, and truthfully, my expectations were way too high. i had fun and enjoyed a good bit of the music, but armin's djing was not impressive. and im not talking about beatmatching really.... that is like the first, basic thing. i mean more in terms of the flow of his set- what he played and when he played it- it just didnt have a logical progression and buildup of energy. transitions were not spectacular either. like i said, i enjoyed it...im not saying armin sucks. but considering armin is as HUGE as he is, some criticism is definitely due. pvd is definitely a huge step above.
i am rarely impressed so much by djs mixing it live as i am with pvd and sasha. i did think armin was going to impress me but he didn't. |

why be critical if u thought everything was awesome? Nothing will ever go 100% perfect in a night but most people dont expect that. Its a club, there will always be a lot of people in there but aside from that i thought armin did rock my world...
now if u want me to be critical I can say that Tall Paul sucked the weekend before. I was blown away with how boring he was and how little he seemed to even try to get the place going. I actually went over to Axis on hip hop night...that shows just how terrible he was. |

I'm just saying i think people that idolize Armin tend to say yay hes the best, whether or not he put on the best show. If you loved it then im sure you have your reasons for it and that would make up a good review, not just the obligatory 'woot'.

Yay! Another critical review! Never seen Taul Paul, but at least now i know one example of not being that great, these reviews are actually helpful for people who are trying to figure out who they want to see or where they want to go, so i'm really happy when someone takes the time to do them.
