I'm always curious as to how ppl get their kicks/what ppl most enjoy in the various genres of electronic music, especially trance and its sub-genres.

for me if it was summer and a beach party then i'd have house which has latin influence and some really funky, dirty beats and basslines to groove to with scantily clad beauties...hehe

for me in general i get my kicks most outta the build-up and climax in trance such as nu-nrg (e.g trance illusion) etc.....also gotta love the speed and pace of jungle etc...

what are the elements you love in certain genres and how do these elements make u want to groove??

Mmm good post, surprised no one replied?

Anyways for me its progressive trance, usually just grab a few prog cds and drive around town..Really relaxing and progressive just gives off that good/dark/weird lol vibe to it

hahah ok for a real post..

goa/psy trance really does it for me, nothing can beat gms/skazi/infected mushroom/astral projection spinning at 3 in the morning. the effect and atmosphere is so much more energetic and ahh just eclectic

in more "conventional clubs" you could say, hard trance is the way to go.. stuff like cosmic gate, hennes and cold, dj scot project etc etc... that stuff is amazing, the tunes, the beats, and the incredible buildups and climaxes are the reason i love trance :)

i never really got into prog and vocal trance.. just not enough energy.. funny though, i do like some lounge though! hahah not to go partying to however..

yeh for partying just with friends probably some real euphoric/uplifting trance

if you were out for a mingin time and wanted 'action' then probably some funky breaks/house to get down and dirty to

some chill music i spose is alright for airplane journeys, especially chilled trance with warm synths and pianos
