As Newcastle were knocked out of the champions league  im having to make this thread rather than a champions league 1.
All discuss team news to do with fixtures in the uefa cup, results from the game and predictions etc, u get my point. |

At the moment we are in the 1st round of the UEFA Cup and there is too many teams and stuff to talk about.
Wait till the 5th round. :stongue: j/k
I hear that club from the Faroe islands will go really far :haha: |

On the 15th of October.
Hopefully the Newcastle boys can have a good game against NAC Breda for a confidence booster, so we can beat rivals Boro 6-0!! |

Yes Le Tallec! I love seeing players score their first goal for the club.
Newcastle won the second leg against NAC Breda 1-0 away. Wasn't a convincing win, but a win nonetheless.
Sir Bobby made 4 changes in the line-up, taking out Shearer, Bellamy and even Shay Given.
Robert was the scorer and LuaLua hit the post i think.

Quarter Final Results (1st leg)
Celtic 1 - 1 Villarreal
Bordeaux 1 - 2 Valencia
PSV 1 - 1 Newcastle
Marseille 1 - 0 Inter Milan
Should make for some interesting second legs. |

Was at the celtic match myself. Quite a frustating first half to say the least. Felt a couple of referee'in decisions went against us, but i haven't seen any tv coverage yet to see if I have been proved wrong. Felt Liam Miller should have came on earlier as i thought he pocessed a real threat going forward.
We will have our work cut for the return leg. |
