Correct me if I'm wrong but, a poser is somebody trying to be something they are not? Example: A wigger (white person trying to act black) |
you're right...being a poser isn't being in love with yourself :p |

"HRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" |
LOLOLOL I'm like crying over here! I've never thought of how to spell that, but MAN that's good! I thought of a scene from Married with Children when Al is in the shadow of a whale, and he has the same face on as PvD.
So uhh, yeah, PvD is definitely the most modest DJ I've seen. Tiesto is totally full of himself. What Armin does (gettin into the crowd and dancing sometimes) seems cool, but it still seems scripted. I seriously think PvD has the best feeling towards DJing, cause it's mostly like me and how I act towards music: totally serious, but totally into it. Of course I don't always act serious when i go to a club (half the time i usually goof off), but that is my general view on music. :p |

wow i am impressed that you posted that on this board. there is quite a bias towards pvd here. i dont know if he is a poser but i do think he is terribly overated. that isnt his fault though. it's the hype. i dont follow him enough to know if he is full of himself over it or not. seems like it would be hard not to be if you were worshipped the way he is. |
the question is whether or not he believes it himself. He always claims that he doesn't want to be seen as "dj god" yet look at the latest cover of mixmag. Either he is full of BS, or his management is moving his image into a direction which he might not want.
The question is whether he is aware of the image that he is getting or not. And if he is aware, why doesn't he do something about it, if he claims that he doesn't want such "PvD = God" publicity.
I don't know him personally, so I do not know what the truth is. I think he is a friggin good DJ and I enjoy listening to him. Nothing more, but nothing less.

good question, but why then doesn't he do something about it? In all honesty, if a magazine misquotes someone and they find out, the magazine usually issue a retraction or similar. |
