the fact that u think that prog is gay is so pathetic.

I can give you reasons why I chose this list:

james holden IMO is the best producer so meny quality tracks that never dies .
this year he made "a break in the clouds" which is really great

katana is tech trance ,somthing that u could like kid , he got massive tracks that can keep u pumping in the dancefloor

g&d u prob heard beautiful things and as the rush comes and meny more to understand that they are good

sander have made quality also , even more trancy stuff like the justin bootleg and policeman remix

lemon 8 is an awesome prog producer , he made things like new york new york and strange world remix in the past year and this year he made santuary remix and he got more to come.

so that's my choices.

and btw ,
OMFG I DIE MIKE/PVD

Grow up kid

Just because he doesnt have the same tastes in music as you he's a kid?

Yeh he loves PVD and i dont think PVD even deserved top 10 but still... just cause he doesnt like the 'cool' 'hip' producers don't make him a kid.

great work on the list! nice to see care to the TA community haha! anyway i was amazed that dj scot project or cosmic gate were on the list! theyve had killer releases in the 'all time' category as well at atm.. i think this poll is actually pretty funny. why? because people who are into trance (of any sort) usually criticize others who like pop/hip hop/etc that they only like mainstream and the popular music that sucks etc etc.. whats funny though is that a poll does just that, it looks for what is popular at the moment, and not even of a wide range of people. most on the TA board like the same kind of trance, i am not criticizing, just stating a fact. oh well anyway thanks for the hard work joeh.

is this a list of followers or leaders?

sorry, its not a matter of trance vs prog its a matterof whether the producer has been around and changed the genre. sasha, jxl, bt, hybrid, sk, wow, lieb, chicane all changed the sound, they didnt just reproduce it.

yah, pvd can beup there, tho his non remixed productions are non very high quality...unless he takes someone elses tune (hemstock and jennings).

and why the hell is oakie on that list? he doesnt even produce, he gets others to do it and then puts his name on it|

there is definitely something wrong when Nu-NRG places above Oliver Lieb and BT or anyone else on that list for that matter...they had one good song people. the rest of the top 10 or so for the most part belong in the upper list...

One tune my ass. your probably refering to dreamland. But maybe you haven't heard of
Bonzai,
butterfly,
remix of Sunblind - Believe,
Le mirage, The Moon feat. Nu NRG - Supersonic,
The Moon feat. Nu NRG - The Moon Loves the Sun,
or nu nrg - universe.

All awsome tracks i think.

Anyways i did vote based on this years productions so i bet alot of other did. :P
dartrance
Good ferry is up there for sure

he is by far one of the best trance producers of all time if not the top
sandstorm03
imovho DREAMLAND IS ing amazing!! may i add
end kiss, marinero, pure thrust, to slide, connective, aloa p, astrals, take you air, the eternal(nu nrg)...all quality tracks
and imovho abitc is verry avg...not including the remixes which are amazing.
i dont hate prog, a lot of it is boring...
Mike_B
end kiss and basic - pure thrust kick ass :D
but supersonic is by far my favorite new-nrg track, so damn good
Scottaculous
Some people are taking this list WAY too seriously. This isn't a list about who's a better producer technically. This is a popularity contest based on subjective tastes. 95% of those who voted never stopped and analyzed each producer's work. Do you think most people would know Sasha had help from the likes of Charlie May, Junkie XL and others when he "produced" Airdrawndagger while PvD did everything by himself for his album? Or even how remixing and producing original tracks are vastly different.

Bottom line: Take the list with a grain of salt and stop ragging on it and other people's picks unless you can back your picks up with some facts.

Saying gayprogmusic.com , prog sucks etc

Makes him a kid.

Did I say PVD suck? nah I think he's ok ... not creative and not amazing

and i do have to wonder why nu-nrg is on top10!?!? i don't get what people see in them! they're just run-of-the-mill trance IMO, nothing special and very bland. do that many people actually think that nu-nrg is the best trance there is? oh well... i guess it's a matter of taste in the end, but i still can't see(hear) the thing in nu-nrg!

see thats exactly it, i (and apparently many others) feel Nu Nrg is the opposite of run-of-the-mill-trance, make very special tunes, and are anything but bland. Different strokes...

- This poll is a disgrace for the TA community!!! NEver thought they would be so .. uhum, ignorant!! how can people say that L-vee has only 2 good tracks?!?! .. if they would know all he's aliases ( Solid Globe, Airwave, Pitstop.. V-one, and all the 10000 of other names )

And MAtt darey so down there?!?! wtf?!?!?! :whip: .. really, for the common sense knowledge, producers deserve more then others. Then again, this should specify that its more like a 2003 poll, but heaving other names up there whom have rarely given a track this year.. its way off really.
