Hi,
I have always wanted to get into dance music production but have always justed pissed around with fruity loops etc.
I dicided that im doing it now and Im doing it right. One thing, I dont know where to start. Don't know people who are into this and need some advice on where to get started.

My question is. In your opinion what is the best software to get and what will be good hardware to buy.
I prefer to buy a synth, one that has near infinate sounds and a full range of keys. Hopefully nothing over a couple thousand dollars though. What kind of sound card aswell or anything else you think would be essential.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide. I truly appreciate it.

Try the really really really hard way first, and search these forums, as this has been answered atleast one time before.
And if you truly got the "music in you", you're gonna figure this out.

Cheers

Just wanted to say that using Fruity Loops isn't "doing it wrong". ;)

No worries lads I understand. I mean no one probably told you what to get with out you having to do the work right.

I never said using Fruity Loops was "doing it wrong". What i consider doing it right is not pissing around.

You'd be suprised. Fairly often, I'll be dicking around, and come up with some cool beat or melody that I end up saving for later use because I like it enough.

Fruity is a solid program. Reason, Buzz, Cubase, Logic, there are a lot of options out there.
