I think privitisation of NHS is ridiculous, and to be honest saying that your only thinking about yourself, and your wages. Privitisation would mean middle class people like myself would have to pay for treatment... and to me i think thats ridiculous and i would strugle to afford such and i would say im lucky enough to be in the fairly high end of wealth as "middle class" goes.

look at the railways, they got privitised to supposedly make them better (by the tories by the way) and look what state they are in now, because of money-grabbing companies who are not in it to provide a service.
do you really want out NHS to end up like that?
we are incredibly lucky to have such a good system for free, regardless of its flaws. at least when you get knocked over by a car, you get picked up by an ambulance.. in the US you wont get picked up unless you have insurance documents with you. if you havent got insurance documents, they will take you home to get them first. |

Exactly, maybe we have similar background & stuff mate, but people forget the tories did 20 years damage and u cant put that right in 7 years, we need someone to help us out a mess, not put us in one, the tories dont even have faith in IDS so how the hell can we, i will never in my life vote conservative |

Noone has a reign of terror. If they had death squads going round killing the elderly and weak, maybe so. But just privatising national services doesn't really constitute a 'reign of terror'. |

seriously ted, my olds both work 40 odd hours a week yet they earn such a pittance that we can only just pay bills & can't always eat fully, we've paid taxes, duties, everything, and a lot was under the conservatives policies of making them rich & the poor poorer |

My mum and dad have been telling me all my life what Conservatives did. My dad didnt have a job under them for 2 years, with 5 mouths to feed, my mum didnt work, and it is only now that our family is actually doing finacially well.
Every Government has its foult, otherwise there would be no need for oppositions to the governemnt. I think the problem is with this country is there is only one party capable of running th ecountry. Labour, imo, have not done all that too bad a job. As someone stated earlier, the NHS is always going to be criticised, no matter who is in govnment. People though should realise how bloody lucky we are to have the NHS. In usa, ur treatment depends on wwhat insurance u have. My g/f lives in usa and her mum cant have a transplant b'coz the insurance company wont pay out, and it would obviously cost way too much for the family to afford it, so what they doing? they arte giving her drugs and stuff? do we really want to go down that road? that builds a higher archy society that just spreads the distance between each class in our society, and trust me that is definatly the worng way to go.
IDS is laughable. Id be horrified if he was our PM. I cant take him seriously no matter what. I also find some of his polititians ennoying when they speak. I also dont think his own party actually like him.
I would vote lib dems if they were more in ur face lol. It seems that although they are growing, they are still arnt big enough, but soon enough i think their turn will come. PLus i think Kennedy is a top man:D lol
I wish though that the speed camaras and woudl change. Put the emphasis should be put on street crime rather than sitting down some ing lane all day try to make a little petty cash from us hard paying citizens branding us criminals for going 5mph over the speed limit at 2am in the morning. They got nowt better to be ing doing? |
