| I bought this Loveparade 2002 CD that was completely sealed. I started playing CD 1, and every song at around 9 seconds has a very quick skip. Is there anything I can do about it? :( |

yes
depends on how bad the scratch is
You can buy kits that supposedly correct it but I have one and I find another method works better.
(FOLLOWING IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OR OPINION, TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!)
take the cd turn it over (DUH!), find the scratch and put toothpaste on the area in question then grab a q-tip and grind it in to area in question then wash the cd out, you may have to try to scrub it off slightly but try not to create new scratches. Should hopefully fix the scratch unless it is far too deep or just a defect cd. |

I don't think he said it was scratched. he said it skips on every track at about the same time. could be a cd defect (bad cut). This has happened to me before and I ended up just copying the original cd & the copy played fine. |

Grr, I can't find the scratch. Been looking for 1/2 hour. Could it be a defective CD?
BTW: CD 2 I noticed also has this problem. |

| probably a production defect then because if you have no scratches and that happens then something happened when they were making the cd's. |

| Yeah same thing happened to me before. The back of the CD looked like it had some swirls in it. (????) The store switched it with no problems, so I advise you just return it (unless you ordered it online, then it'll be a hassle). Regardless, I'd contact them. |

| Most are happy to replace it if it is a defect on their part. |

probably just a bad print of the cd, it happens with MOS CDs as well
one of my clubbers guide to ibiza did this, it was hard to seek ahead and back without skipping and losing its place, just try another cd player and see if it still does it.
if it does, chances r its a bad cd...get a new one :) |

I have a idea, download a good copy, you already bought it. |

getting a replacement will not fix the problem. sounds more like an issue with your player. ive noticed some cd players are more tempermental that others when it comes to 'unique' cds ie ones that arent on the billboard top 100 for whorish consumerism.
i just think that the vast differences in production, encoding and mastering methods dont sit well with some players...and if you are using your computer some cd programs cause these sorta problems too| |

jus dload a copy of it an put it onto cd
cuts out the hassle an it shouldnt technically be illegal if you already bought the cd |
