And it's funny, because based on their posts (which again is not the complete picture), I have next to no respect for a lot of those top-10ers. :p
But since I'm losing the chillout room popularity contest, I guess that has no bearing on it. :haha: |

I thought this was just for fun; I didn't realize you would "judge" it. But Benchristopher clearly states:
"My top 10 is from people who know so much from trance music, they ID so many tunes when they are posting tracklists, they write in the music discussion etc...."
and I clarified my list:
"Excluding Swamper and the mods from consideration for obvious reasons, I most enjoy reading posts contributed by these 10..."
I don't think it is a popularity contest at all.
St_Andrew explained why he picked each of those in his top 10.
Its not a serious thing. No need to hurl insults (i.e. "I have next to no respect for a lot of those top-10ers").
Dunno, things don't always have to be super serious! |

Yes, well half the people on those top 10 lists have never posted outside the chillout room, don't seem to know much of anything about trance music, and can't even string together a complete sentence.
Although, to be fair, the inherent value on being able to string together a complete sentence is next to nil on the Internet these days... and knowing about trance isn't a requirement for posting in the chillout room (though I'd have to wonder why someone would do it).
And yes, you ^ clarified your list quite well, but the thread in general didn't specify that. Personally, I can't see why anyone would enjoy reading my posts. If they break a cold sweat when they see my name, then I've done my job... if they crack a smile, well then obviously I'm not doing it right! |

I haven't heard of some of benchchristopher's favorite TA's; I just enjoy the "read"...nothing to do with how much they know about trance. But it was fun putting together my list. |
