Heh.. I had a chance in Toronto to go to both parties - PVD and ARmin the day before... Armin's set was good, but PVD just killed it the next day(best set I heard live in TO), Armin's set was nowhere near that. Also PVD was a lot different from April. He was very energetic, smiled and danced a lot arround the booth, signed at least 400 autographs(even my Vandit shirt:D), and played 20 min. encore.
Dont get me wrong, I like Armin, but he still has a lot to learn IMO. What I dont like about his sets is those really slow filler trance tunes. They are melodic, but so slow that they sound like progressive. That stuff really kills the flow in my opinion...
He's set in TO was still great tho...
That track "Yet Another Suburbain Train" was such a killer !!! Another bad thing is that in GUV u cant really see a DJ, 'cause the DJ booth is almost under the roof, and Armin's communication with the crowd is so great! |

just got back to eNyCe from MOntreal/Boston...and from my FIRST time at ARIA...
I was going to go to the meetup but then things came up and I couldnt make it...:-(
BUT DAMNZ AVB definitely owned OMFG I FIRST saw him July 11th at ROXY rah here in enYce but damn at ARIA he was SIIICK!!! And definitely a fan-friendly dj...I got there at 1:30am, stayed thru Marco G who was great and then AVB (!!!) -- I just couldnt stop dancing the whole nite...He signed three flyers for me, and I also got one of those CDS that the guy on the platform was passin out...Later on I got the insert signed also :-)...Now I know why everyone loves ARMIN he is just so friendly and he projects his vibe into his djing and onto the crowd...-=) it was one of the best times I have experienced thus far...the energy was INCREDIBLE!!!
i have to do a few shoutouts...
- thanks to ZING for meeting up wid me last minute to give me the reduced passes for this party (madd chillz of ya)
- also, I met two TranceAddicts while on the floor -- the music was too loud and I didnt really catch ur names -- but one of u was wearing shades and the other said, "I recognized u cuz you were wearing ur hat" well it was NICE to meet u guys...-=)
All in all, a successful FIRST trip to Montreal/ARIA, hopefully NOT the last!!! -=D |

I didn't really stayed long after marco G ended playing ( i went with him .. and i was working @ 10 in quebec city ) but still .. it was a good night ( it was good seeing master, taha and zing( Guys .. i missed u ... and i'm serious !! ) )
As for the tracklisting goes ... the only thing i recognize during Armin's set ....
