From previous posts I was under the impression there was a lot of support for Lady Dana coming to TO.....judging by the lacklustre response .....I guess not! |
that is misleading all dutch people i met in ibiza loved hardcore as well so what do they know

Legs is hurtin also. Dana was incredible - I haven't danced that much in years! Commander Tom did suck ass and he sure cleared the floor pretty quick. If I were a promoter and I booked a so called "big name" like him, I'd be pretty pissed if he came over and played I could hear on 103.5 like Beni Benassi. Jon the Dentist falls into this same category ever since he played Castles in the Sky at WEMF a couple of years ago...
Overall it was a great time though because nothing could take away from Dana's set! I really hope Hardline comes back with more parties like it! This city needs someone to give it a kick in the ass by bringing over some new and different faces! |

| Lady dana killed me last night. My shoulders and legs are aching right now. I arrived at 12 and nobody was on the dancefloor. So many people were standing during hartec's set which pissed me off. More people started to come out and dance during dana's set. Hartec's set was pretty good but lady dana's set was amazing. I thought commander tom sucked ass too. What the did he play in the beggining? I was hoping for some harder tunes from commander tom. All in all it was a wicked party and i can't wait for more hardstyle events. |

ok time for an actual review
premeetup was fun
hardstyle irish music @ Fionn McCools? hellya!
I really liked what Hartec was playing, it was good times.
Then Dana came on, and it was good times too. Nobody really danced, and as much as I tried to, I really couldnt, the bouncing piercing was too painful. so dancing was sporatic and involved holding myself...it was awkward to say the least.
Dana was soo hard. sooo hard. Most people still stood around, I think they were too confused to do much else. What do I do for such hard music? how do I dance? oh well..I danced as I could.
I coudlnt tell you any of the tracks she played, other than Murder was the bass @ plus 6 gagillion. That was so fast!! IT WAS GREAT! I was pounding so hard for that! Her set seemed to last forever, even tho it was 2 hours on the dot. the last 45 minutes were pure bliss...amazing beats!
Then what I was excited for Comander Tom. He played 2-3 unkowns(to me) then C:/del*.mp3 and one other I knew..and then it happened 
ZOMBIE NATION!!! OMG I wanted to walk out the door right then. But then he played satisfaction, which isnt much redemption, but after zombie nation, it seems good. Then some Dance mix 93 steve murano sounding remix It sucked wang. His set lacked flow, mixing was a straight fade lasting 2-3 seconds and barely a mix..it was pathetic. At least I got to have some fun when he played Urban Train(somebody still caries it around? wow!) He ended w/ some nice techno, but when Tom played Murder was the bass barely an hour after Dana ended on it, really it was un needed and I tried not to go off for it, but thats hard to do. He played New Time, New place, an that was nice.
mm what else? I think thats it for Tom. He sucked big time. A huge let down to the night

Anyways, I had a great time last night. It was lots of fun, even with the lackluster crowd. I hope the lack of crowd doesnt dissuade Hardline, it was a well done event.
Ziggy {the glowstick/sparkler spinning girl) did a wicked job performing, and I really wish that Toronto had somebody like her. Ive seen her spin so many times (in calgary) and even now, I cant stop watching her perform. Its nice to watch..even better to watch people trying to emulate her afterwards.

wow, waht a ing nite!!! amazing music, in an amazing venue
to bad the turnout wasnt as great as i (and probably the promotors) extpected
i hope that hardline can continue to bring the hardstyle talent back :D
To Hartec: is there any way we can get a hold of dana and your sets or even just the tracklists? thx |

great great party! couldnt stop dancing when dana was spinning, she didnt seem too happy though... did you see how all of a sudden she left the dj booth? i didnt even notice it until i looked up and saw the bald guy (commander tom?) at the decks.
anyways, do you guys know where we can get pictures or videos that were taken that night??
p.s. the only 2 tracks that i was familiar with that she played were: Follow me (STILL GREAT TRACK) and Go Insane. |
