Anybody here a fan of sloshball? or have you ever even played it?
I just tried it this weekend and i think it's awesome.
basically it's like playing softball, but your own teammates pitch the ball to you the way you want it to be pitched. There is still the 3 strikes rule, but you don't keep track of the number of balls that are tossed (even if you do you'll probalby stop after a while hehe). The big difference here though is that there is a keg that is parked at second base, and you cannot pass second base until you have chugged a beer.you are allowed up to 3 people at second base (assuming you have nobdoy at the other 2 bases) if you have 3 people at second base that is considered bases loaded and if there is an additional person coming to second and nobody has finished pounding their beers they can be tagged out. If there is a contested call i.e. the runner reaches the first base and the firstbaseman gets the ball about the same time there is a pound off. In which the two players contesting the call pound a beer, the first one to win, wins the decision. if there is a tie on the pound off, a repound off takes place.
btw this is the variation i played, i'm sure there are many others.
post yours if you have one!
btw we were drinking gordon biersch marzen beer, a small brewery from San Francisco
good beer is preferred, but expect alot of spillage so cheaper beers can be substituted if you can't beer to see good beer being wasted.
all the running around in the sun + pounding beers gets you good and wasted. |

the minimum number of people you need for this game is enough people to finish the keg(s):D . But i guess player wise you need hmmm 3 people for the bases, the catcher is optional but it helps because the pitchers and the hitters will stop being accurate after enough beers. hmm 3 outfielders, the people on the bases can double as the infielders and thats about it.
you can always have more people than positions because you might need to substitute players. basically it's a great time for a mob of people, but make sure you have enough people to finish the kegs and if you have too many people just order more kegs.
you can also do keg stands and stuff for like intermissions or during piss breaks. |

hmm your probably goign to need more than nine people because you need 2 teams.
and for the guy that is scared of the 70mph pitch ,don't worry it's slow pitch, your teammate pitches you the ball. you tell them where you want them to pitch the ball so you can either wail on it or you can hit a grounder or something.
well what do you know:
