Let me know what you think of it ;)

sounds gud to me, everythings perfect

its just simpley trance, nothing to it, nothing original that stands out exceptionally, if you get what i mean.

still good work, keep it up
dbl
eyyy... gimme the full hifi track... NNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW :p
sounds great man :)
Lightworks
Thanks Ande & dbl.

Bren asked me not to post the full track, sorry. Depends on what happens to the original ;)
leedearn
this is very well produced, everything sounds nice and polished but i think that it takes a lil too long for the main tune to come in, the breakdown is far too long, other than this, its a very good tune, well done:happy2:
Mr.Mystery
The Icone sound is really getting overused already.

Well Wim, you style has really been developed over time. Technically, it sounds full and fresh, but since I've been listening to Trance for years, I'm not too amazed anymore.

Overall - it sounds nice man. Keep up the good work.
Bren-F
U already know what I think of this mate :)

Quality :D

Once I have remastered the orig. I'm gonna send it off along with your remix & the JOC mix off to the big cheese at Discharge :)

you have a point.

although i think every track wim releases is better than the previous one. this one as well, technically he didn't put a foot wrong. there's of course the general icone sound that keeps coming back, but every track has new refreshing elements and details that make them unique. this time again, you can hear there's all sorts of new elements he's experimenting with, and at the same time he keeps the general sound icone stands for. that's what makes M.I.K.E a great artist, and wim has started to do the same thing for a few months now..

in other words, excellent track! :)

Thanks for lending me your thoughts guys ;)

leedearn :: everything is a little stretched in the main section, because there is only one like it in the entire track. But of cours,e you couldn't hear this in the short sample.

Mr.Mystery :: if you only come here to say that and think it would be something like Bedrock or DJ Scot Project, I think it's better to stay away and say nothing... Icone is Icone, I admit it and I won't change anything about its 'sound'. I'm sorry if this is not what you want, but this is how it is.

Bren :: Glad you like it mate, my pleasure for the remix :) I asked Sarah for those vocals, she'll record them at better quality asap. When I have them, I will send them to you, if you still need them of course.

Kev :: I'm glad you see my point... If I would make something totally different with Icone, it wouldn't be Icone anymore. As so, you will hear Icone every time there's an Icone track or remix. I thought an artist's style was to do it this way? M.I.K.E.'s recognizing sounds always keep coming back - that's what makes him himself. Even with his different alter ego's (Push, Plastic Boy, MIKE, The Snapper, ...). Airbase kind of does the same thing - nobody ever seems to complain about that.

If you don't wanna hear Icone, don't download an Icone track - simple I think... Isn't this with all artists? :)

Thanks again for the comments!

those statements are quite contradictory, if you put your track up you have to take the good comments with the bad mate.

i would dish out some feedback but the link dunnit werk

edit: nevermind it does...

comments are as follows:

i agree it does sound very iconey, the gated synth could do with a bit less phase + there seems to be not much power when it kicks in although i cant really tell from 3s worth. nice break tho + use of the pro-53 nitro sound :p so much for changing the kick ;) try adding some body and bass to the synth rather than expanding the high end so much to give it a more rounded sound as it feels slightly detached from the mix, nice work tho :)

Thanks for the comment Luke ;)

Should I add more mid-low freqs, like around 200-400 Hz maybe? Thicken the lead a bit more. I'm having a bit trouble adding deep bass to my basslines, maybe it's the samples that aren't good for every bassline, I don't know.

I don't say I won't take bad comment, I really like constructive comments (like yours). I just didn't really have much to build on from that particular post, so I don't really know what to do with it... If you know what I mean. For example, does that mean I have to go pure hardtrance or chillout with Icone or something else, with a totally different sound?

laterz,
Wim
