LOL! just checked that figures out. If you count all kind of murders plus all physical abuse with a deadly ending, there are 2.4 murders for each 100 000 people in sweden... that isn't much :)

Well technically Sweden WAS the country with the highest standard of living worldwide- in the 70s and 80s. Its still a quality place, and immigrants/women generally work in the service industry as Sweden is historically not a service industry focus economy, like the US. Thus they tend to show up there...
basically they sit where they are because they abstained from WWII and helped rebuild Europe| |

Similar to australia in that mental health has a huge lack of funding and there are not enough beds in the hospital for all the mentally ill

Actually read an article about living standards some time ago. They did not only take GDP into consideration, but a lot of other factors. Sweden placed FIRST on that list. So Sweden is the world's best country to live in :) I think Denmark placed 2 and norway 3 and US somewhere around 20!
And still thoose figures about murders in sweden are WRONG! and i want to know what kind of source that is? Shakka!? |

Checked it up with the swedish authority dealing with crime statistics. According to them there where 219 murders 2002, or 2.4 for each 100 000 people...
and that was included all physical abuse with a deadly ending.. don't know what else they could count in?! so they have to lie about it ;) |
