For my A-level project in DT i am designing and making a table for my decks, it is specifically designed to stop vibrations from the floor, so if it was to be used in a club it would be to stop vibrations from the people dancing. As it will be used in my room it will be used to stop vibrations from when people knock the desk etc...

I was just wondering if you could help me and list several points that you would require if the table was being made for you, some examples could be....

Strong
Room for Wired
Shelves for vinyl
Freak
Every club i play in has concrete pillars in which the turntables are placed on- desk/workspace is built up over these

i think oakie used to cut a sqaush ball in half and put one half under each foot of the turntable!

this may not be of any help but i thought id mention it anyway

If you look at audiophile sites, you'll find that the high end setups use things like the blow up POS from htfr and sand boxes, etc.

You are exactly right, concrete will stop just about any vibrations from getting to your tables. I use this technique and it works perfectly.
