Think 1/5 the size of Avalon that has more of a bar setup than a club and its got speakers only in front of the DJ, so the sound slowly dissipates towards the back. |

Just stumbled on this thread.
Axis is not ty...Deep Dish had a residency there bi-monthly till December 2002.Sasha and Digweed were always there in there Twilo days.Most djs would rather play in that more up close and personal room than Avalon.Its unfortunate that Avalon decided to cut costs and put hip hop in there on fridays.This past year,Square One on Thursdays was in there with Steve Porter and Dave Ralph as residents and had guests like Chris Fortier,Lee Burridge,and James Zabiela until that night eventually ended.John Debo and Ali Ajami were residents there back on Chrome Nights on thursdays.Axis was THE place for underground dance music in Boston even more so than Avalon.
Im hopeful that dance music actually comes back there:whip: |

Yes, as far as I know, there's only one club in Boston that's open until 6am, it's called Rise, you need to be on the guest list though, or a member. You can't get in otherwise... |

I updated my first post too....
Unless u look like ur 12,u can still get into avalon if ur 18.Im only 19 now i was going since october 2002.I was 6 months from being 19 and i got in no questions asked all the time |

| Also heard that Way Out West is here in May,but I forget the date.Avalon is changing around its Saturday format to actually bring in good djs once and awhile but that is a 21 plus night.There actually is some good talent in these parts coming up |
