I was just in the forum about the top 100 DJ poll...and someone made an indirect diss against tiesto, paul van dyk, and armin van buuren
its begining to piss me off how some people have "anti-popular" tastes and cut up those who are popular...
i have liked tiesto even before he was famous and seening him make number 1 did not change my likeness for his music, and sets etc...
they are there for a reason... |

| There will be haters everywhere you go bro... dislike them just because they are popular... but in most cases, those popular artists are popular for a freakin' reason, such as Tiesto. Who else can throw a solo concert with guest appearances and fireworks while spinning 8 hours straight with an audience of 25,000 people? Tiesto is the man, popular or not. |

#1 i love justin timberlake. cept for his slow songs...those suck (minus cry me a river :p )
#2 people who don't like stuff cause its popular really really bug me. granted i don't listen to the radio or watch MTV like most people my age do, but i can recognize a good song from a piece of crap. people need to recognize that really good songs DO sometimes get onto the radio and even MTV
#3 (elaborating on 2) i was talking to a kid and i was quoting someone i know who had a theory that absolutely everyone, regardless of other tastes, likes bob marley and sublime. and it had always been true in my mind, i hadn't seen anyone prove otherwise. then this guy i was talkin to said something along the lines of 'nah i hate bob marley, too many people listen to that '

wow...thats interesting. i'm gonna ask people now if they like bob marley and sublime now.
dont worry about what others think about what you like. if you like it, then thats all that matters. we all have our own opinions. , it ain't like its the end of the world. still, tiesto is pretty sweet. |
