| hey if you get a fair sized crew that is interested in going to a hard hosue event..TPO would be able to organize that ..along with the main event...@ the docks |

I dont have a 'crew'
Ive only lived here 7 weeks, and really only know a dozen ppl who party(past first/TA name basis)
Im dying to see Anne Savage or somebody from the Nukleuz label again. BK..(yes I know, he left got his own, but hes still a Nukleuz DJ in my head) Nick Sentience...mmmmm

Hardhouse never really had much of a hold here and that wasn't such a bad thing... when I'd go out west and hear a whole night of banging hard house I'd usually get so annoyed I'd just want to leave - bang bang bang with no soul is not what the doctor ordered for more than one set a night unless you are under 20...
We had BK, Andy Farley, Nick Snetience and others out for our events over the years but nobody really cared or asked for more... They are nice guys, but musically, Toronto crowds are not into it in any great number.

| I don't mind Hard House. It's similar to Trance in many ways(especially hard trance)..the hard 4/4 beats, the energy. Hard House gained massive popularity in the UK, but definitely not here. |

WTF you talking about FOO ? Your a part of the TA Family and honestly, that's all you need for a crew! BIG UP yourself! |

J-spot, I feel your pain. It would really be great to have a solid hard house dj come over (Paul Glazby, Phil Reynolds, and NIck Sentience would be fine with me!) NOthing beats a good pounding bassline, deadly hoovers, and pure nrg. sometimes i think toronto could use a taste of the hard stuff.
jed
ps - j-spot, did you used to host a show on live 365...i'm pretty sure you did and i was one of the faithful listeners! |

no I didnt.
I think there is a J spot imposter somewhere.
I was in toronto when I wasnt
LKD thought he med me @ last years LOL and I wasnt here...
I NEED HARD ENERGY
the problem is, that TO is too 'classy'
hard house is dirty, to dance to it you sweat alot, get all flushed, and pretty much just go hard.
its hard to do in flat soled leather shoes, or stilletos, which is what so much of the TO crowd is...Ill have to find a way to cope!(ie mix CDs from Calgary)
ps OS/2 cmon, I know you love sitting in the basement of the warehouse while Slide/Blissed is upstairs talking to Amanda, teaching her the difference between railing and hooping a pill(inside joke)
and to Ezekiel, Calgary, I had a crew(like 40 close people)..here I feel like an outsider still. Ive got all you as pals, but ya..hard to explain. there are TONNEs of TAs, but I only know a dozen or so past first names and TA names...new territory, im still adapting.
k i need to turn this prog off and listen to HH.time to pound. |
