Being an alternative music fan in the early 90s before it hit big, and being a hip hop fan before it hit I have long feared Trance/Techno hitting mainstream. It's my music and I'm keeping it. Once MTV or radio gets a hold of it, it will all be over. I think we are already seeing it though in commercials and background music. |

Thats not really true.
Trance used to be mainstream here a few years back, then it sorta fizzled out and was replaced by cheesy trance, which has now died also. This is true for europe also, and we all have better trance scenes than in countries where it never was mainstream.

Sorry I should have specified it has never hit mainstream in the U.S. besides a few random tracks and cheesy tracks. |

i don't suppose its too bad for a bunch of noobs, they're finally starting to appreciate good music! :D like any type of music, trance is destined to reach more than the average audience.
personally, i don't think it is going to hit too main stream. I think everyone is still too narrow minded about music for it really to hit big. For now, I suppose, we still have our time to enjoy without alice dj and etc followers!:haha: |
