If u were to make a cd containing TWELVE trance songs which bring back memories to u, what would these 12 be... and what do u remember when u listen to each track?...
here is mine:
1: Discovery - Air Tripping: This track reminds me sitting at my computer chatting to my friends in #darkplanet at Talkcity last summer about 3am. The windows open and a soft breeze calmly blowing past occasionally.
2: Dark Moon - Zeitrese: This track reminds me walking around in the morning last summer at 5am. In the mornings i used to leave the house and walk around the neighborhood at 5-6am because it was completely quiet but the birds chattering. Fog everywhere, noone alive, no cars.... it was great.
3: Future Breeze - Cruel World: This track reminds me of my Eurodance mp3 searching days last summer. When i used to spend the entire night downloading every track off all the eurodance mp3 sites like aPiPe.
4: Kamaya Painters - Far From Over: This reminds me of my life i once had in america. My friends, my house, my complete life. This is my favourite track.
5: Blue Alphabet - No Comment: This track reminds me after spending ENTIRE nights on my computer of last summer. about 7am, i would get up, stretch and sneak downstairs in the morning sunlight to an empty quiet house and find myself eating a plumb or something from the fruit basket.
6: Rank1 - Airwave (Dutch Force Remix): This track reminds me the moment of my pet dying. I had a White's Treefrog which i had for 7 years. she was sooo nice. You could take her out and she would curl her legs under her fat on the keyboard and fall asleep as you typed, she was like a litte person. When we moved to england she caught a disease and was slowly dying, and one night about 11pm she died in my hands, and at the time, i was playing rank1 - airware. at this time, it hadnt been released to the general public yet, only vinyl promo still.
7: DJ Sakin - Turkish Memories: This song reminds me of my first mp3 wantlist, and how much i wanted those songs... i remember it consisted of: One - Manero, M-Prado - Deep Inside Of Me, Sidewinder - Mindsensations, Cyan - Aizen Myoo, and a few others... these were my first taste of true underground trance.
8: Robert Miles - Children (Guitar Mix): This track reminds me of my home in america. Right before i moved to england, i had my computer sitting on the clear glass kitchen table. so this track reminds me sitting at night about 2:30am listing to robert miles and playing Starcraft over battle.net. The windows are open as well as the screen door and it is raining a steady stream. You can hear the rain beat off the wooden balcony outside the screen door over the music. The fresh rain air floods the room which relaxes your mind. The only light is the tube light on over the kitchen sink, which has a perfect glow to which ads to the relaxing mood.
9: Cyan - Aizen Myoo: This track reminds me of how hard i tried to find this track last summer. I spent over 3 quarters of a year to even get ahold of the full track. Before napster got extremely popular it was absolutely impossible to find! i mean, have you heard of it?... EXACTALLY!!
10: DJ Digress - Baila Para Mi: This song was the first song for me to hear when it got to the melody, it made my stomach drop... It was my perfect song. The melody was absolutely brilliant, there was nothing like it. And it had my fave instrument! um...the Beepy instrument!
11: Accuface - Space Is The Place: This track reminds me also of last summer of when i first discovered Tunnel Records. They are now my favourite record lable because everything on it, is completely my style. Discovering that lable was like discovering a new life.
12: Ayla - Celine: This song is the most relaxing song in the universe in my opinion. This song reminds me of how i used to stay up every morning and wait for my mother to come home from work at 3am. She used to come in, send my ing stepdad to work and then she would come in an talk to me about how things have been. It was the only time i ever got to talk to my mother then.
Well that is how i feel, mainly. I think why most of them reminds me of last summer is because last summer was my first summer to live in the UK. My mother had met Garry (my step-dad) over ICQ and they got married a few months later. Garry happened to live here so we had to leave pretty much our entire lives behind at out home in america. For me, it was my entire life... this was my first move. SO that first summer was really hard on me bacause all i could think about is how much i missed my home. But the thing that was really making it worse was right before school ended and last summer began, i got in a HUGE fight with Garry and we ended up not talking to each other anymore. He began to be sooooo ing mean to me. I think he wanted me to go back to america and live with my grandmother cause he realy hated me then. And do u know why he hated me? because of what i wanted to do!!!! i wanted to call america and talk to my friends with my own money! but he wouldnt let me, he says it was a waste of time. !!!! anyhow, thas what started it off. Then i was told through some one that he told them if i up again, he was going to send me to america and have to leave my mother behind!!! so this like REALLY worried me. I was seriously afraid to walk around the house when he was home. I used to love wating till he went to work and when he did, it was like a 80 ton weight lifted from my shoulders. I then could leave my room and talk to my mother for once. She couldnt do anything about it cause if she split up with garry, she would be deported to america, cause the marriage was the only thing keeping her over here. And we were stuck, because if she went back to america, she would have been prolly arrested imediatley cause we were up to our asses in bills in the states. AND she could never stick up for me in an argument, becuase he would always treat her like afterwards... all that was my first summer in the UK, which was VERY rememberable, as u can see. It was also the first summer i disovered true underground trance and mp3s. So the ENTIRE summer, i spent my days in my room in darkness on my computer on the net. And thats why those tracks above mean so much to me. Well i hope i didnt bore u all to death... i would like to hear your most important 12 tracks and what they mean to you. It really interests me what other ppl see in the songs i listen to again and again. BYE BYE!! :) |

i totaly disagree with ya,ive read this post and loved it!
Yevat is one of the few guys who isn't afraid to show his emotions,that kinda guys are very rare and very special.
Yevat loves trance and the emotions in it...just like me,and why ppl should love trance in my opinion.
That kinda ppl make a party an emotional trip and i love them all:)
So Yevat,keep thinkin that way,never care what the *tough* guys think bout it cuz yer way rulez and make a girl melt:)

ok here are my fave (12 was it?) i cant be assed 2 write the reasons y tho:-ok i will but not detailed
1.one-love is a loser(well i have 2 admit i first heard this when yevat told me 2 d/l it. ever since i cant stop playing it i just think its awesome.
2.rank1-airwave(this track reminds me of my first part of college which ive just finished. me and my m8 jim loved this track ever since we heard it on WAHEY--dave pearce:)lol
3.accuface-spaceis the place(this was introduced 2 me by coup and i love this just cos its gr8)
4.marc et claude-lovin uratty remix-i would not say this a classic but i just love it at the moment.not that trancey but i love it
5.veracocha-carte blanche(almost my fave track of all time but i still dont own it:(
6.barthezz-otm(what is my fave track of the year so far)
7.dahool-MH@TLP- gettin rereleased on monday here and im desperate 4 it. this IS my fave track of all time. all the mixes kick ass and this has every element a dance track needs. truly awesome.
8.fridge angel(even my mum lovesthis track its just a gr8 tune. reminds me of a party a few years bk when i put this on:)
9.rollergirl-dear jessie(didnt do very well in this country and 2 my surprise just sizzled out with the public.i managed 2 pick up a very last copy from skandalous i couldnt find this anywhere and i absolutely love it.
10.sasha-xpander(just a gr8 track)
11.push-univesal nation(no particular reason i just like it again:))
12.er..armin-communication i guess.this is a good track.i guess ive chose this cos it hs some excelent mixes asell.
ok then im not sure if they are my absolute faves cos ive done this real quick. ive probably left a classic out:(doh!! |

Yevat bro all i can tell you is stay couragous , i know it's really difficult for you and your mother . Once you'll yurn 18 , you can kick that bastard's ass if you want and go back to the USA or live in your own house . Be patient and you will see at the end , you won't regret it . Anyways here's my top 12 classics list :

DO NOT:

i think he means this bit but its not actually faves, and theres a bit more to it than "whats ur fave track atm, mine "'x' - 'x'"
