the Toronto Hard Dance Scene

This topic was brought up by my gf on numerous occasions, and imo deserves a thread. Does Toronto have a hard dance scene? hah Am I that ignorant and caught up in my world'o prog that I do not know of one existing?
And when I say "Hard Dance" I'm referring to the always cliche "Hard House" NOT happy hardcore, gabber or hardcore. (I mean really now) Think hoovers, breakdowns and uber anthems. LOL
I know we've seen the likes of Fergie, and the odd really really hard dj come to Toronto. But what about parties?
Whilst living in the UK I rocked out to the still strong prog scene there, but I couldn't help but notice it being overshadowed by the likes of Frantic, Nukleuz, Tidy, Sundessential, Good Grief. These are the big parties, and these are the dj's that are making money.
BK, Reynolds, Fergie, Lashes, etc etc...
Does it exist in Toronto? This elusive middle ground hard music?
(I mean it very well could, I know dick about techno and as many of you have taught me, it's alive and thriving in Toronto) |

P.S The last time I saw Fergie (re: this summer bitch) he played "Star 69", I'd call it an anthem. But yes yes, you're right, Fergie does not pigeon hole into my foolish definition. LOL |

except lisa lashes. shes all washed up and coked out. ;)

Im dying to do back to the Fridge the next time I got to london. The only problem is, most my friends have left London to go work elsewhere. Oh well, maybe I will have to gather ppl from here and head out to the Fridge. The vibe out there is awesome, nothin compares to it. And the fridge bar.....much better than the "Zone" . The only bad thing of the night or should i say afternoon is the bus ride back to central london.:D :D |

| UK Hard House is good stuff... Them guys @ Nukleuz put out some good stuff and it would be good to hear some UK HH acts in Toronto. |
