i dont bother using promoters-
there arent enough good ones with the free time
i just like to stay close to the ppl that like the music
let them know whats going on
and stay on business relations with good
selfmarketable djs
that have enough talent to back their talk-
i guess i cant go wrong there huh?
screw the promoters --
not all of them - just the lameones that ask the dumb questions
" how many ppl you expecting?" < excuse me/? sorry im the dj that you booked - i have my people comming so now you do YOUR job mr promoter boy- by the way...how many people are YOU expecting and dont forget when i get there i get my fee at the door- not after you dissapear sometime during the night HAHAHA
anyone comming to the show this week?
no im asking a serious question now--
anyone comming to this weeks trance party? wednsday night?

def. nothing wrong with a girl who likes her knobs :haha: As far as promoters go, they should never be asking how many people you are bringing since "they" as promoters are paid to bring people. I have been dealing with them for several years now and so far I think maybe 1% are trustworthy if that. In NYC they come in all shapes and sizes, but they all talk the same . Unfortunately, without them djs are stuck between a rock and a hard place because they either dont have enough time to promote or they try to promote and dont have enough time to dj. I wouldn't write them all off just yet because in order to be a dj you need a crowd and sadly they are expected to bring one
As for your wednesday trance party, try posting it in the local forums where you live (ie. if you lived in New York then in the New York Forums) |
